This has been more than a year in the making, and we are so excited to finally share the news with you: Dorothy’s House has purchased a new building!

Over the past year, our impact has grown by 220% as we expanded our services to include crisis care for survivors. With that growth came an urgent need for more space—not only to provide immediate safety through crisis services, but also to expand our long-term residential program.

We began searching for the right space, and we truly believe God answered.

Our new building will provide 10 beds dedicated to crisis services, giving women a safe place to turn when they need immediate support. Our two existing homes will then transition to long-term programming, increasing our total residential capacity from 12 beds to 22 beds.

That means more women will have access to safety, stability, and the opportunity to begin their healing journey.

Behind the scenes, we have been working hard to prepare the building and make it ready to welcome survivors. But there is still work to be done—and we need your help to open the doors.

For much of the past year, women have been placed on a waitlist for our services. We don't want a woman reaching out for help to hear, “You have to wait.”

This expansion will help us change that.

Be A Part of the Giving Tree — $100

A beautiful piece of art in our front window, The Giving Tree will grow with leaves bearing your name or a few words of encouragement for our home, our staff, and our participants. A lasting reminder of the community that helped make this place possible.

Sponsor a Staff Space | $1,000

Safe, welcoming spaces matter for the people doing the work, too. Help us create comfortable, functional spaces where our staff can regroup, collaborate, and continue showing up well for the women we serve.

Sponsor an Outdoor Space | $2,500

Help us create beautiful, welcoming outdoor spaces where women can breathe, move, connect, and enjoy a little fresh air. These spaces will make room for both healing and joy.

Sponsor a Bedroom — $5,000

Help us furnish and prepare a beautiful, welcoming bedroom for a survivor. As a bedroom sponsor, you can even choose an inspiring name for the room—Hope, Believe, Courage, Grace, or whatever speaks to you.

Sponsor a Living Space | $7,500

Help us design the everyday environments where meals are enjoyed, laughter resonates, games are played, and relationships flourish. These are the spaces that foster simple yet meaningful moments.
