Human trafficking is happening
all over Iowa.

We wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t.

At Dorothy’s House, we help survivors of human trafficking rebuild their lives by providing a safe, nurturing environment for survivors to process their trauma and regain their independence.

The discussion of human trafficking too often focuses just on the victims and the people who sell them. Rarely do you hear about those who buy people for sex. We hope to shine a spotlight on the buyers who commit the crime in hopes of reducing demand.

The average buyer looks like a friend of ours. White, middle-aged, married with kids, college-educated and has the disposable income and will to rape people in exchange for money.
